Rob Kirkpatrick

I run marketing operations, build AI agents that handle the parts that shouldn't need a human, and spend weekends either above 12,000 feet or completely absorbed in something on the stove.

Currently
A live index of what’s open in my browser, my notebook, and my pack — updated when something changes, which is often.
Building

A production AI decision engine using the Claude API on AWS — routing and qualifying marketing signals without a human in the loop.

The ops instinct and the automation instinct are, it turns out, the same instinct.

Writing

Working through a piece on what marketing operations taught me about building systems that survive contact with reality.

Currently much longer than it needs to be. The conclusion is closer than it looks.

Wandering

A 2-night loop from Oh-Be-Joyful trailhead to Blue Lake above Crested Butte — late June, wildflower season.

13 miles, 2,162 feet of gain, no permit. The upper basin is above 12,000 feet and the last mile to the lake is steep enough to earn it.
